10 – Performance – SHOUT-OUT Redux

7:30 PM, Outpost Performance Space, 210 Yale Blvd. SE, Albuquerque

516 ARTS and Outpost Performance Space present SHOUT-OUT Redux, an evening of spoken word performances that revisits our SHOUT-OUT Festival organized by IDRIS GOODWIN for STREET ARTS: A Celebration of Hip Hop Culture & Free Expression (2010).

Through spoken word and song, Michelle Otero revisits El Otro Lado: The Other Side – Albuquerque, an art and storytelling project presented by 516 ARTS and the Academy for the Love of Learning in 2009-2010 for which Otero and visual artist Chrissie Orr worked with more than 70 Albuquerque residents in interdisciplinary, multigenerational creative workshops.

$15 general / $10 for 516 & Outpost members
available in advance from the Outpost Box Office (505-268-0044) or at the door

  1. Unfortunately, I was unable to take your class at the Harwood! I was hoping you’d be doing something else soon here in Albuquerque. Do you have anything planned?

    • Tina, my next teaching gig is at the Taos Writers’ Conference in July. The link is on my Upcoming Events page.
      I’ll also most likely be teaching at the Harwood in the fall.
      I’ll post readings and workshops as they are confirmed on my Events page, so if you’ve subscribed to “Vessel,” you’ll be notified each time something new appears.
