Vessels Team Update

Thanks to an anonymous donor, my flight to Washington D.C. for the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) Conference in February is covered! The gift of a Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards credit brings me $350 closer to my goal of raising $3781 to support the writing of Vessels.

The news from other team members is encouraging. Though writing every day this month has been a challenge with travel and Christmas cards and kids on vacation and wacky weather (last week I was wearing a white cotton peasant blouse with light sweater; tonight it’s sixteen degrees), I feel I am writing in communion with those of you who promised to paint or write or simply get out of bed and get dressed every day.

Daniel S. pledged to write music every day in December. He reports that he has almost completed a few pieces and will be posting them soon.

Andrea the Poet continues to post a new blog entry every Monday. Read all about her dating adventures at  …and yet, I’m still single.

It’s not too late to join the Vessels Team. I’ll be writing, writing, writing until January 31 and celebrating the completion of an important cycle in the creation of this book at the end of February. Make a devotion, donate, volunteer. Read about all the big and small ways you can be part of the team.

  1. Do you have a place to stay in DC? I’m guessing you’ll want to be at the hotel where the AWP conference is, but it you need a bed, you’re welcome here. Also, let us know if you need a ride to or from the airport. We’d love to see you and hug, even if you only have a few minutes to spare!

    • Can’t wait to see you in D.C., Luci!
